From speleology to nature photography

Olimpio Fantuz, a photographer originally from Vazzola in the province of Treviso, began his photographic career in 1977 when his interest in speleology introduced him to the world of nature photography. Over the years, this passion has turned into his main profession.

Recognized for his technical expertise, he designed and built specialist large format cameras, including the revolutionary 10x12 Fantuz camera as a result of his commitment to seeking innovative technical solutions to express his creativity.
Olimpio Fantuz specializes in the production of high quality images and uses photographic equipment such as the Canon 5dsR and the Sony A7RII.
His work focuses mainly on landscape, industrial, advertising and macro photography.

In 2019, his photos of the territories affected by Storm Vaia, a natural disaster that hit the Triveneto in the autumn of 2018, were exhibited in a photographic exhibition in Arabba and San Vito di Cadore.

The collaboration with the photo agency Simephoto and the appearance of his photos in internationally renowned magazines such as Condé Nast Traveler, The Financial Times, Gente Viaggi, etc., testify to the recognition of his skills in the field of photography.
Furthermore, Fantuz collaborates with the Sime Books publishing house for the creation of books, magnets and prints.
