It seems paradoxical that in this age of globalisation characterised by the uniformity of tastes and consumption around the world, there co-exists a desire for particular produce coming from areas of often no more than a few square kilometres. Perhaps in a natural reaction against this unformity our palate searches for new flavours leaving us with a need to try different foods and drinks.
